Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nguyễn Hung kicked off to start the match. Hoàng Bien showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Hung, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Nguyễn Minh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hoàng Bien having to interfere. Nguyễn Phuoc kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. When Bùi Hoai fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buon Ma Thuot's protests and gave Bùi Hoai a yellow card for diving instead. Bùi Hoai hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 20th match minute, Bac Kan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Hieu to maneuver through the defense. Võ Hieu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phạm Nhật Minh in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of Buon Ma Thuot booed when Bac Kan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Than didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Nguyễn Minh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Hung recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 37 minutes of play Buon Ma Thuot's Bùi Hoai was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 38th minute, Bùi Hoai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hoàng Bien came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Bac Kan's Nguyễn Minh. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Minh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 45th minute, Nguyễn Minh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Đoàn Tuyet hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nguyễn Nam made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Nguyễn Hung notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Buon Ma Thuot's Hoàng Bien. Hoàng Bien was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nguyễn Minh kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. If Nguyễn Minh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Minh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nguyễn Minh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Buon Ma Thuot's zone, Nguyễn Hung stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hoàng Bien came out of the goal and Nguyễn Hung tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nguyễn Than recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Nguyễn Minh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bac Kan's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Minh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hoàng Bien breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Nguyễn Minh came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Bac Kan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Minh couldn't finish the play. Võ Hieu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nguyễn Nam went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 97th play minute Nguyễn Nam came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Võ Hieu. 2-3. The Bac Kan manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Buon Ma Thuot to win.
