The long shot by Dé Cearense in the 5th minute really tested Nghiêm Diem's skills. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Abdurrahman Aslan took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Nghiêm Diem to make any attempt to save it. Nghiêm Diem made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dráusio de Mendonça in the 18th minute. Lê Hanh charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lê Hanh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 20 played minutes PADFC got a freekick which was hit by Lê Hanh. In the 24thth minute of the game Abdurrahman Aslan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PADFC's Nghiêm Diem was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Abdurrahman Aslan put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Nghiêm Diem. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tạ Lien in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nghiêm Diem saved PADFC from getting behind. Dráusio de Mendonça received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nghiêm Diem came out and tried to block the shot, but Dráusio de Mendonça slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 34th minute. After 37 minutes, Vương Diem mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tan An and the PADFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of PADFC booed when Tan An was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vương Diem didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the game, Phạm Bien cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jurjen Robbermond was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. PADFC's Nghiêm Diem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdurrahman Aslan in the 41st minute of play. With his leg Nghiêm Diem managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Tan An's Dráusio de Mendonça fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dráusio de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nghiêm Diem having to interfere. PADFC's Nghiêm Diem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdurrahman Aslan in the 46th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abdurrahman Aslan made a kick off. Trần Tan scored 4-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nghiêm Diem, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dráusio de Mendonça took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nghiêm Diem. Nghiêm Diem dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. The PADFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nghiêm Diem should have stopped the shot. In the 91st minute, Nguyễn Thi Ngoc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Tan An getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Vương Diem hit a great ball. Vương Diem kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. PADFC's Nguyễn Hanh shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 96th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jurjen Robbermond but with some difficulty. Tan An's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
