Lê Hoai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phạm Dinh in the 20th minute of play. Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's Lê Hoai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Ba Ria Vung Tau FC from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes into the match, Tra Vinh's goal looked a bit too open when Huỳnh Duc came free, but Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's Lê Hoai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Ba Ria Vung Tau FC from getting a goal against them. Lê Hoai was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nguyễn Hoang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Lê Hoai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Phạm Dinh made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Nguyễn Tuan Hoang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lê Hoai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phạm Dinh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vũ Ho in the 58th minute. A hard shot 59 in the game by Vũ Ho from a close distance when the talented Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh managed to make a qualified save. Tra Vinh's players were relieved. Lê Hoai came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Tra Vinh's Phạm Dinh. But to his dismay, Phạm Dinh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 71 minutes into the match, Tra Vinh's goal looked a bit too open when Vũ Ho came free, but Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's goal looked a bit too open when Phạm Dinh came free, but Lê Hoai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lê Hoai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hoàng Loc, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's Lê Hoai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Minh in the 78th minute of play. The supporters of Tra Vinh booed when Ba Ria Vung Tau FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chung Lan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lê Hoai made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Vũ Ho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vũ Ho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91st minute Nguyễn Hoang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lê Hoai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lê Hoai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Hoang, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Phạm Dinh scored 5-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lê Hoai, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tra Vinh were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ba Ria Vung Tau FC for a fine match.
