Jurjen Robbermond stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lê Thien's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Phan Liem was a little too slow when Trần Tan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 4-0. Dráusio de Mendonça scored 5-0 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Phan Liem, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abdurrahman Aslan to strike the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Abdurrahman Aslan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Phan Liem.
