Eagle King Club's Antoni Banas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phạm Dinh in the 6th minute of play. Tra Vinh's Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Katia in the 15th minute of play. If Phạm Dinh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antoni Banas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phạm Dinh in the 24th minute of the match. Hoàng Loc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antoni Banas having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Nguyễn Hoang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antoni Banas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. A collision led to Eagle King Club getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Trần Cong Vinh hit a great ball. Huỳnh Minh Phượng shot from long distance in the 38th minute, but Antoni Banas was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Antoni Banas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 44th match minute, Tra Vinh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Minh to maneuver through the defense. Nguyễn Hoang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Antoni Banas made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roberto Katia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Eagle King Club got a freekick which was hit by Đoàn Cong Vinh. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Nguyễn Hoang managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tra Vinh's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Hoang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antoni Banas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antoni Banas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Hoang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Roberto Katia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tôn Cadeo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Trần Hong hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Nguyễn Hoang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Antoni Banas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trần Cong Vinh charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Trần Cong Vinh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Trần Cong Vinh hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Phạm Dinh put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Antoni Banas. Trần Hong hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nguyễn Hoang in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antoni Banas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Phạm Dinh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antoni Banas having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Eagle King Club's zone, Nguyễn Hoang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antoni Banas came out of the goal and Nguyễn Hoang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 84 minutes, Nguyễn Hoang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tra Vinh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Hoang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Tra Vinh booed when Eagle King Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trần Cong Vinh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antoni Banas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Hoang, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Nguyễn Hoang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Antoni Banas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the game, Phạm Dinh cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Antoni Banas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phạm Dinh in the 93rd minute of play forced Eagle King Club's goalkeeper Antoni Banas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phạm Dinh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antoni Banas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tra Vinh fans cheered their team off the field, for while Eagle King Club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
