Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nguyễn Khoi started the match with the kick off. Phan Dung scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lê Hieu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Nguyễn Khoi came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Dien Bien fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Khoi couldn't finish the play. Nguyễn Khoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lê Hieu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nguyễn Khoi's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Dream League Soccer's zone, Phan Dung stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lê Hieu came out of the goal and Phan Dung tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nguyễn Dung in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hoàng Phuc saved Dien Bien from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Đỗ Hoang in the 26th minute of play forced Dien Bien's goalkeeper Hoàng Phuc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phan Dung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Hieu having to interfere. Nguyễn Khoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Dien Bien booed when Dream League Soccer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Dung didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lê Hieu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Phan Dung in the 37th minute. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Phan Dung put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Lê Hieu. Phan Dung could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Lê Hieu made a huge save. After having played for 47 minutes, Phan Dung managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dien Bien's supporters crossed their fingers, but Phan Dung was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Đỗ Hoang to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Nguyễn Khoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lê Hieu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Nguyễn Khoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dream League Soccer's goalkeeper Lê Hieu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, Dien Bien's Phan Dung sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lê Hieu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Phan Dung received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Lê Hieu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute Nguyễn Khoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lê Hieu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trần Bay charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Trần Bay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Trần Bay hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Dien Bien's Phan Dung got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lê Hieu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Khoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. If Phan Dung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chung Tuan Hoang during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Dien Bien booed when Dream League Soccer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chung Tuan Hoang didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Triệu Viet sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Dream League Soccer's Lê Hieu didn't even have to move. Dien Bien walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
