Spectators: 7403 (Terracing: 6403, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lê Thien kicked off to start the match. Nguyễn Chuong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Phan Liem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ngô Van Tai Em kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the game, Ngô Van Tai Em cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dương Liem was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dương Liem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lê Thien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Nguyễn Chuong came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the MASEW fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Chuong couldn't finish the play. Ngô Van Tai Em kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as MASEW's Lê Thi Ngoc slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Phan Liem. That made the score 1-1 after 17 minutes of play. Nguyễn Chuong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Loc in the 25th minute of play forced MASEW's goalkeeper Dương Liem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nguyễn Chuong who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Phan Liem when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Phan Liem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mai Thuy, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the match, MASEW's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Dung came free, but Dương Liem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nguyễn Tinh hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. MASEW's Nguyễn Chuong got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Phan Liem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mai Thuy, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mai Thuy in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Phan Liem prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Đỗ Tan fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored HoangNamFc's protests and gave Đỗ Tan a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of HoangNamFc:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of MASEW:s goal. HoangNamFc:s Phan Liem showed great skill when he stopped Mai Thuy:s penalty. 48 minutes into the match, Mai Thuy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Phan Liem. HoangNamFc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mai Thuy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mai Thuy to make the kick off. Dương Liem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lê Thien, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After 55 played minutes HoangNamFc got a freekick which was hit by Ngô Van Tai Em. After 58 minutes, Lê Thi Ngoc mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MASEW and the HoangNamFc players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to MASEW getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Lê Thi Ngoc hit a great ball. Dương Liem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lê Thien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Võ Phuong lost his temper 62 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in MASEW fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Dương Liem, was totally fooled by HoangNamFc's Lê Minh, who 64 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Dương Liem was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lê Thien showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-3 in the 66 minute of play. After some careless play in the HoangNamFc defense, Chung Hung kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Phan Liem. The HoangNamFc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Phan Liem should have stopped the shot. Chung Hung took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Phan Liem. Phan Liem dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-3. 76 minutes into the game, HoangNamFc's Nguyễn Dung nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dương Liem made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-4. If Nguyễn Chuong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Nguyễn Dung got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dương Liem made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Nguyễn Tinh sent off a good shot on target. In the 85th minute of the match, Lê Thien tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dương Liem saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 87th minute, Nguyễn Chuong got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. During the 91st minute of the match Ngô Van Tai Em completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ngô Van Tai Em a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 92 played minutes HoangNamFc got a freekick which was hit by Ngô Van Tai Em. Đỗ Mai hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nguyễn Dung got free with Dương Liem in the 99th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. HoangNamFc's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
