With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vũ Dung prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 14th match minute, Manchester United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lê Tuan to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, Manchester United's Bùi Van Quyen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nguyễn Hoa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Võ Tu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Vũ Dung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute Nguyễn Van Quyen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vũ Dung saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 minutes, Lâm Hoa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manchester United and the Can Tho players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nguyễn Van Quyen made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Can Tho's Nguyễn Van Quyen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vũ Dung narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner ended in Bùi Van Quyen almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Can Tho's Nguyễn Hoa did a great save. After 97 minutes of play, Manchester United's Nguyễn Tan made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nguyễn Hoa was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Can Tho eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
