Bùi Tuan charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bùi Tuan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. A throw-in in the 10th minute of the game was made by Lê Cadeo with Nguyễn Minh as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Huỳnh Dong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bùi Duc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th match minute, Paris Saint Iceland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trần Bien to maneuver through the defense. Paris Saint Iceland's Bùi Loc got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Huỳnh Dong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bùi Duc in the 20th minute of the match. Phan Duc scored 0-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Huỳnh Dong, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute of the match ★☭VNĐ✯1975☭★ got a corner. Paris Saint Iceland's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nguyễn Minh ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on ★☭VNĐ✯1975☭★'s corner Nguyễn Tấn Dũng fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Huỳnh Dong quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, Paris Saint Iceland's Trần Tuan Hoang got a free kick in the 29th minute. Bùi Duc might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Huỳnh Dong. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bùi Duc ran back to his position shaking his head. After 30 minutes, Bùi Duc mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ★☭VNĐ✯1975☭★ and the Paris Saint Iceland players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 30 played minutes ★☭VNĐ✯1975☭★ got a freekick which was hit by Bùi Duc. Huỳnh Dong stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Phan Duc's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Trần Tuan Hoang's late challenge caught a ★☭VNĐ✯1975☭★'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Trần Tuan Hoang helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of ★☭VNĐ✯1975☭★ booed when Paris Saint Iceland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trần Tuan Hoang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Phan Duc in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Huỳnh Dong saved Paris Saint Iceland from getting behind. 75 minutes into the match, Paris Saint Iceland's goal looked a bit too open when Phan Duc came free, but Huỳnh Dong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phan Duc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Huỳnh Dong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Huỳnh Dong stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Phan Duc's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Trần Tuan Hoang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Trần Lam came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Paris Saint Iceland's Bùi Loc. But to his dismay, Bùi Loc quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After a rather tough play, Paris Saint Iceland's Trần Bien got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When the final whistle sounded ★☭VNĐ✯1975☭★ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Paris Saint Iceland.
