In the 10th minute Phan Duc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nghiêm Minh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nghiêm Minh made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Nguyễn Minh sent off a good shot on target. When Nguyễn Minh came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the ★☭VNĐ✯1975☭★ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Minh couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Nguyễn Minh took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Nghiêm Minh to make any attempt to save it. In the 30th minute, Nguyễn Van Quyen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nghiêm Minh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phan Duc in the 31st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in D Suneil's zone, Nguyễn Minh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nghiêm Minh came out of the goal and Nguyễn Minh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nguyễn Van Quyen hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Nghiêm Minh made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Phan Duc sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the ★☭VNĐ✯1975☭★ defense, Nguyễn Van Quyen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Trần Lam. The ★☭VNĐ✯1975☭★ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Trần Lam should have stopped the shot. D Suneil's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Bùi Duc scored to the left of an out of position Nghiêm Minh, making the score, 3-2. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

Trần Lam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hoàng Binh in the 55th minute of play. D Suneil's Nghiêm Minh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Minh in the 56th minute of play. If Nguyễn Minh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ★☭VNĐ✯1975☭★'s Nguyễn Minh got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Trần Lam was a little too slow when Nguyễn Van Quyen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 3-3. After a defensive mix-up in D Suneil's zone, Bùi Duc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nghiêm Minh came out of the goal and Bùi Duc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nghiêm Minh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phan Duc in the 74th minute of play. Nghiêm Minh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phan Duc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89thth minute of the game Phan Duc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but D Suneil's Nghiêm Minh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phan Duc in the 92nd minute of play forced D Suneil's goalkeeper Nghiêm Minh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nguyễn Minh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
