Spectators: 8457 (Terracing: 6344, Seating: 1944, VIP seats: 169) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Szymon Paciuszko kicked off to start the match. After 9 minutes, Nguyễn Dong mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saigon Kick and the Long Xuyen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Đỗ Thuyet took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Trần Hoang. Saigon Kick's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Trần Hoang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Viet in the 12th minute of play. Nguyễn Phong took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Trần Hoang. Trần Hoang dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 25 minutes, Nguyễn Viet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Long Xuyen and the Saigon Kick players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Long Xuyen's zone, Szymon Paciuszko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Nguyet came out of the goal and Szymon Paciuszko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Szymon Paciuszko got free with Nguyễn Nguyet in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Nguyễn Viet was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 32 minutes had been played. Nguyễn Viet hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Nguyễn Nguyet came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Saigon Kick's Szymon Paciuszko. But to his dismay, Szymon Paciuszko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Lê Minh-ha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Hoang having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Lê Minh-ha made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Saigon Kick's Nguyễn Thuyet got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Nguyễn Nguyet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Szymon Paciuszko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nguyễn Dong got his second yellow card in the match during the 70th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 71 played minutes Saigon Kick got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Dong. After a rather tough play, Long Xuyen's Nguyễn Phong got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Saigon Kick's Lê Hung got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 79 minutes, Lê Hung managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saigon Kick's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lê Hung was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Saigon Kick's Lê Hung got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lương Quang Thanh hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Long Xuyen players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
