PhuTho were furious when Phạm Thai was red carded, 3 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in PhuTho fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 2nd minute. Penalty! 4 minutes into the match, Phan Hoang had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dương Lan. PhuTho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Phan Hoang was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nguyễn Hoai during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th match minute, PhuTho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Hoai to maneuver through the defense. Cam Pha Port's Nguyễn Hanh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trần Bay in the 12th minute of play. Nguyễn Hieu Ngan charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nguyễn Hieu Ngan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nguyễn Hieu Ngan kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. When Lê Anh Hung came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the PhuTho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lê Anh Hung couldn't finish the play. Trần Bay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Nguyễn Hanh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nguyễn Hanh was a little too slow when Trần Bay got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 36th minute, Lê Ho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Trần Bay blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nguyễn Hanh having to make a save. Nguyễn Hanh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trần Bay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cam Pha Port's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Lê Anh Hung scored to the left of an out of position Nguyễn Hanh, making the score, 2-1. Trần Bay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Hanh having to interfere. Dương Lan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phạm Pham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
The wind increased when Trần Bay made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Trần Bay in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Hanh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 53rd minute, Phạm Tu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. PhuTho's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Nguyễn Hieu Ngan scored to the left of an out of position Dương Lan, making the score, 2-2. Phạm Tu's late challenge caught a PhuTho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Phạm Tu helped the player get up and apologised. Phạm Tu hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After 70 minutes, Trần Chung mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cam Pha Port and the PhuTho players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cam Pha Port fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! Lê Ho shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Nguyễn Hanh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trần Bay's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. After 79 played minutes Cam Pha Port got a freekick which was hit by Phạm Tu. Trần Bay might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nguyễn Hanh. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Trần Bay ran back to his position shaking his head. After 86 minutes, Trần Bay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PhuTho and the Cam Pha Port players grew even worse after the yellow card. Trần Bay kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th match minute, PhuTho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trần Bay to maneuver through the defense. If Phan Hoang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trần Bay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Nguyễn Hanh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. PhuTho's Dương Lan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save PhuTho from getting a goal against them. Trần Chung took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dương Lan. PhuTho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of PhuTho booed when Cam Pha Port was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Đoàn Dong didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cam Pha Port succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though PhuTho had controlled the match.
