Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Ba Ria-Vung Tau booed when United Fandom FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Tuan Hoang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Trần Hung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 11 minutes, Trần Hung managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ba Ria-Vung Tau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trần Hung was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Ba Ria-Vung Tau getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Nguyễn Duc hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Tuan Hoang in the 15th minute of play forced Ba Ria-Vung Tau's goalkeeper Phan Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nguyễn Chi hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Nguyễn Tuan Hoang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phan Hong having to interfere. Ba Ria-Vung Tau's Phan Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Tuan Hoang in the 20th minute of play. After 22 played minutes United Fandom FC got a freekick which was hit by Trần Hong Minh. Trần Hong shot from long distance in the 23rd minute, but Phạm Tran was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Phạm Tran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bùi Diem, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. A collision led to United Fandom FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Vũ Khoi hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the game, Lương Mai lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Phạm Tran. After 32 played minutes United Fandom FC got a freekick which was hit by Chung Hieu Ngan. 35 minutes into the match, Ba Ria-Vung Tau's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Than came free, but Phan Hong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nguyễn Hanh lost his temper 37 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 38th match minute, United Fandom FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Hanh to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Trần Hong got free with Phạm Tran in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bùi Diem's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Phạm Tran read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Vũ Khoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Phạm Tran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Hong Minh in the 44th minute of the match. Phan Hong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phan Hoa in the 46th minute of the match. Nguyễn Than blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Phan Hong having to make a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Nguyễn Tuan Hoang made the kick off in the second half. Phan Hong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Than in the 52nd minute of play. Nguyễn Tuan Hoang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phan Hong having to interfere. Phạm Tran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bùi Diem's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Phan Hong came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by United Fandom FC's Nguyễn Tuan Hoang. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Tuan Hoang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Nguyễn Tuan Hoang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nguyễn Than struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Phan Hong didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for United Fandom FC. In the 72nd minute, Nguyễn Than hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bùi Diem scored 2-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Phạm Tran, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 78th minute Trần Hung shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phạm Tran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ba Ria-Vung Tau's goalkeeper Phan Hong, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. United Fandom FC's Nguyễn Than got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the game, United Fandom FC's Nguyễn Tuan Hoang nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Phan Hong made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The crowd rose to their feet as United Fandom FC's Nguyễn Tuan Hoang slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Phan Hong. That made the score 2-3 after 88 minutes of play. After some careless play in the Ba Ria-Vung Tau defense, Nguyễn Tuan Hoang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Phan Hong. The Ba Ria-Vung Tau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Phan Hong should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, United Fandom FC's Nguyễn Than got a free kick in the 95th minute. The United Fandom FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing United Fandom FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
