Bùi Diem took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Phạm Tho. Phạm Tho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 76th match minute, Ba Ria-Vung Tau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Nam to maneuver through the defense. In the 87thth minute of the game Bùi Diem who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AOrz's Phạm Tho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 88 played minutes AOrz got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Cuc. 89 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Thanh Bình was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AOrz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ba Ria-Vung Tau the free kick. Nguyễn Thanh Bình kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Nguyễn Thanh Bình hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Despite being the better team, AOrz failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
