A collision led to khánh hòa getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Lê Hung hit a great ball. Nguyễn Cuc struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Chung Binh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PhuTho. Trần Bay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the khánh hòa defense, Nguyễn Cuc kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chung Binh. The khánh hòa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chung Binh should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Cuc in the 31st minute of play forced khánh hòa's goalkeeper Chung Binh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute Trần Bay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chung Binh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, khánh hòa's Lê Hung got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute Trần Diem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dương Lan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of PhuTho booed when khánh hòa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trần Thi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Trần Diem managed to get in a good position for a shot. khánh hòa's supporters rose to their feet, but Trần Diem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dương Lan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the PhuTho defense, Trần Diem kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dương Lan. The PhuTho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dương Lan should have stopped the shot. When Trần Bay came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the PhuTho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trần Bay couldn't finish the play. Trần Bay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Chung Binh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trần Diem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lê Tuyet charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lê Tuyet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nguyễn Cuc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Nguyễn Cuc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. PhuTho's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
