Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mai Phong took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute, Trần Hanh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nguyễn Minh's late challenge caught a Lao Cai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nguyễn Minh helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Lao Cai booed when Cam Pha Port was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Minh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lao Cai's Nguyễn Binh couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 10th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cam Pha Port. Nguyễn Phuoc charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nguyễn Phuoc the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cam Pha Port's Nguyễn Hanh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chung Hoang in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mai Phong in the 25th minute of play forced Cam Pha Port's goalkeeper Nguyễn Hanh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nguyễn Hanh made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Lý Minh-ha sent off a good shot on target. Cam Pha Port's Nguyễn Hieu Ngan got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Cam Pha Port's Nguyễn Hanh got control of the ball when Nguyễn Tu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lý Minh-ha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Nguyễn Hanh made a huge save. In the 37th match minute, Lao Cai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Binh to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nguyễn Hieu Ngan made a kick off. Nguyễn Hanh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Tu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd minute, Nguyễn Phuoc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nguyễn Thi acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 54th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Phạm Pham. Nguyễn Hanh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mai Phong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the game, Chung Hoang cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Nguyễn Hanh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Phạm Tu hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After 74 minutes of play Cam Pha Port's Phạm Tu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Phạm Tu kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Phan Hoang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Thi having to interfere. Nguyễn Hanh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chung Hoang in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute Cam Pha Port were awarded a corner. Phạm Pham went to the cornerflag to take it. Mai Tuan Hoang made a great header on Cam Pha Port's corner, it was just that Lao Cai's Nguyễn Thi managed to reach the ball for a save. Nguyễn Hanh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Tu in the 87th minute of the match. Lý Minh-ha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute Chung Hoang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Hanh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nguyễn Hanh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mai Phong in the 93rd minute of play.
