With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trần Lien in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nguyễn Hanh saved Cam Pha Port from getting behind. The referee felt a red card was in order, 43 minutes into the game, when Trần Chung put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cam Pha Port fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! Nguyễn Hanh had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Chung Thien's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball 48 minutes into the match, Cam Pha Port's goal looked a bit too open when Trần Lien came free, but Nguyễn Hanh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Phan Hoang to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Huỳnh Hung managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ha Dong's supporters crossed their fingers, but Huỳnh Hung was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cam Pha Port's Nguyễn Hanh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Diem in the 85th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Cam Pha Port's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Diem came free, but Nguyễn Hanh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ha Dong booed when Cam Pha Port was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trần Binh didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Ha Dong's Chung Thien tried to score from far away in the 90th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Diem in the 94th minute of play forced Cam Pha Port's goalkeeper Nguyễn Hanh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phạm Tu kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Ha Dong were the better team. Ha Dong's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
