The supporters of THANH HÓA FC booed when Ba Ria-Vung Tau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trần Hong didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nguyễn Nga didn't quite understand what happened when in the 12 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lưu Minh Phượng made a kick off. Trần Hung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mai Quang Thanh having to interfere. In the 70th minute Trần Hung shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mai Quang Thanh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. THANH HÓA FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
