In the 4th minute Nguyễn Diem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nghiêm Binh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 5th match minute, 7-1 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Binh to maneuver through the defense. When Nguyễn Diem came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Ha Dong fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Diem couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Lien in the 19th minute of play forced 7-1 FC's goalkeeper Nghiêm Binh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ha Dong's Huỳnh Hung got a free kick in the 24th minute. Lê Tran hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 7-1 FC's Phan Bien got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Trần Phuong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Đặng Xuan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nguyễn Binh's late challenge caught a Ha Dong's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nguyễn Binh helped the player get up and apologised. After 35 played minutes 7-1 FC got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Binh. Ha Dong's Trần Lien got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nguyễn Diem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nghiêm Binh having to interfere. After 40 minutes, Phùng Viet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 7-1 FC and the Ha Dong players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 40 played minutes 7-1 FC got a freekick which was hit by Phùng Viet. Ha Dong's Chung Thien couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 41st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for 7-1 FC. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Trần Phuong made the kick off in the second half. Nghiêm Binh was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nguyễn Diem showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 51 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Lien in the 56th minute of play forced 7-1 FC's goalkeeper Nghiêm Binh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phùng Viet got his second yellow card in the match during the 58th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 58th match minute, 7-1 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phùng Viet to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, Ha Dong's Chung Thien broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Nguyễn Diems short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Nghiêm Binh to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Phan Bien managed to get in a good position for a shot. 7-1 FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Phan Bien was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Đặng Xuan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Ha Dong's Nguyễn Diem, in the 66th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Ha Dong. Nghiêm Binh was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Trần Lien showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 67 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nguyễn Diem got free with Nghiêm Binh in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Trần Lien had several of the 7-1 FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 76 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Nghiêm Binh as he didn't even see the shot coming. When Ha Dong's Trần Lien in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye 7-1 FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 84th minute, Trần Phuong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute, Nguyễn Diem fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nghiêm Binh, passed just outside the right post. Trần Lien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Nghiêm Binh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ha Dong's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
