Nguyễn Diem recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nguyễn Huỳnh hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Trần Thi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Đặng Xuan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, khánh hòa's goalkeeper Chung Binh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nguyễn Diem. 29 minutes into the match, khánh hòa's goal looked a bit too open when Trần Lien came free, but Chung Binh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bùi Van Tai Em hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Thi in the 36th minute of play forced Ha Dong's goalkeeper Đặng Xuan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trần Lien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chung Binh having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Nguyễn Diem got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 45 played minutes khánh hòa got a freekick which was hit by Lê Xuan. Chung Binh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chung Thien, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Chung Binh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nguyễn Diem in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The wind increased when Trần Lien made the kick off in the second half. Chung Binh didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Trần Lien went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the khánh hòa defense, Nguyễn Diem kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chung Binh. The khánh hòa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chung Binh should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Ha Dong booed when khánh hòa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Chung didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ha Dong's Đặng Xuan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lê Hung in the 67th minute of play. Trần Lien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chung Binh having to interfere. Ha Dong's Đặng Xuan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Ha Dong from getting a goal against them. In the 84th match minute, Ha Dong was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Huỳnh Hung to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Ha Dong's Đặng Xuan got control of the ball when Trần Diem tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, khánh hòa's Trần Diem got a free kick in the 90th minute. Trần Diem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Đặng Xuan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Đặng Xuan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ha Dong's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
