Nguyễn Cuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 14th minute Trần Bay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phạm Tran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Trần Bay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 minutes of play United Fandom FC's Phan Hoa was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of PhuTho booed when United Fandom FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phan Hoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lê Tuyet hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 1-2 became the score in the 32nd minute when Nguyễn Tuan Hoang elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. United Fandom FC's Phạm Tran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Cuc in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Bay in the 46th minute of play forced United Fandom FC's goalkeeper Phạm Tran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Trần Bay made a kick off. Trần Bay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Phạm Tran made a huge save. In the 53rd minute, PhuTho's Trần Bay ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Phạm Tran. Phạm Tran yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Nguyễn Cuc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phạm Tran having to interfere. If Vũ Khoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dương Lan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Tuan Hoang in the 72nd minute of the match. Trần Bay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Phạm Tran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, United Fandom FC's Trần Hong Minh got a free kick in the 79th minute. Phạm Tran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lê Ho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trần Bay showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Phạm Tran successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 89 minutes into the match, United Fandom FC's goal looked a bit too open when Trần Bay came free, but Phạm Tran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Trần Bay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 97th minute Nguyễn Tuan Hoang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dương Lan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
