After a defensive mix-up in Skyblue's zone, Nguyễn Minh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lê Anh Hung came out of the goal and Nguyễn Minh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Kontum getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Nguyễn Chi hit a great ball. Nguyễn Minh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Lê Anh Hung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Skyblue defense, Nguyễn Minh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lê Anh Hung. The Skyblue fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lê Anh Hung should have stopped the shot. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Skyblue's goalkeeper Lê Anh Hung, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Kontum booed when Skyblue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lê Loc didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lê Anh Hung showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Trần Hanh charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Trần Hanh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Kontum's Trần Hanh got a free kick in the 79th minute. Nguyễn Minh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Kontum were the better team. Kontum's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
