Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Liễu Tho kicked off to start the match. When Liễu Hoa fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kien Giang's protests and gave Liễu Hoa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, Liễu Hoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Kien Giang's zone, Liễu Tho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trần Dong came out of the goal and Liễu Tho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Phùng Chung kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Kien Giang's Phạm Huy shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 16th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Đào Anh Hung but with some difficulty. If Liễu Hoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the game, Bùi Chuong was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kien Giang's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Da Lat the free kick. After a rather tough play, Kien Giang's Bùi Chuong got a free kick in the 26th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Kien Giang's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Loc came free, but Trần Dong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nguyễn Chuong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Chuong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Đào Anh Hung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nguyễn Chuong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liễu Hoa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Đào Anh Hung when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lý Bien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Liễu Hoa in the 52nd minute of play forced Da Lat's goalkeeper Đào Anh Hung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Liễu Tho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Nguyễn Chuong put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Đào Anh Hung. 61 minutes into the match, Kien Giang's goalkeeper Trần Dong had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nguyễn Loc. Nguyễn Loc's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Trần Dong skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Trần Dong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liễu Tho, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 76th minute Kien Giang were awarded a corner. Văn Hoang went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Văn Hoang got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Đào Anh Hung quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Da Lat's Đào Anh Hung played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Chuong in the 85th minute of play. Liễu Tho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Loc took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Trần Dong. Trần Dong dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
