After 18th play minutes Lý Lam shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Nguyễn Xuan and just under the crossbar into goal. 26 minutes into the match, manchester united's goal looked a bit too open when Lê Ho came free, but Nguyễn Xuan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Trần Chuong made a kick off. Lý Lam who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Nguyễn Xuan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With his leg Nguyễn Xuan managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Van Don Port's Lý Lam fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bùi Hoang's late challenge caught a Van Don Port's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bùi Hoang helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, manchester united's Bùi Hoang got a free kick in the 59th minute. Lê Nga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trần Chuong in the 63rd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Van Don Port's goal looked a bit too open when Trần Chuong came free, but Lê Nga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Lý Lam put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Nguyễn Xuan. Lê Nga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trần Tran in the 73rd minute of the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 84 minutes, Trần Tong managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Van Don Port's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trần Tong was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Van Don Port's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With an all-out effort, Van Don Port's Nguyễn Xuan threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Huỳnh Hoang, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lý Lam could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Nguyễn Xuan made a huge save. In the 99th minute Bùi Hoang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lê Nga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Van Don Port's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
