Phan Dinh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Đặng Hong, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Duc in the 9th minute of play forced Gia Huy FC's goalkeeper Trần Tuan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nguyễn Hong Minh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Trần Tuan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gia Huy FC's Nguyễn Viet got a free kick in the 13th minute. After having played for 14 minutes, Nguyễn Diem managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VINKING FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Diem was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Trần Teo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Trần Tuan. That made the score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. Trần Tuan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nguyễn Duc showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 19 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gia Huy FC's Đặng Minh got a free kick in the 28th minute. The audience was convinced that Nguyễn Hong Minh's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Trần Tuan was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Gia Huy FC's La Nam got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gia Huy FC's Trần Tuan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trần Phuong in the 43rd minute of play. Nguyễn Hong Minh took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Trần Tuan. Trần Tuan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. With a little luck, Gia Huy FC's Trần Tuan got control of the ball when Nguyễn Hong Minh tried to sneak it across the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Phạm Lien was the one to do the kick off. Dương Hung received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Phan Dinh came out and tried to block the shot, but Dương Hung slotted it home off the left post making it 4-2 in the 53rd minute. In the 57th match minute, VINKING FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Viet to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Gia Huy FC booed when VINKING FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trần Phuong didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Gia Huy FC's Phạm Lien dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-3. After 69 minutes of play, VINKING FC's Nguyễn Duc made it 5-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Trần Tuan was left in no man's land by his defense there! VINKING FC's Nguyễn Duc got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 74th minute Nguyễn Hong Minh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trần Tuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vương Chung kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Trần Phuong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute, Đặng Hong got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nguyễn Duc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nguyễn Hong Minh might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Trần Tuan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nguyễn Hong Minh ran back to his position shaking his head. VINKING FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gia Huy FC for a fine match.
