Spectators: 8266 (Terracing: 6307, Seating: 1934, VIP seats: 25) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Lê Chung got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of AnHugo booed when Mong Cai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Thien didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nguyễn Duong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Phan Chung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Phan Chung made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Duong in the 12th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Võ Tuan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Phan Chung. AnHugo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Võ Tuan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Nguyễn Duong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Võ Tuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute Nguyễn Duong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phan Chung saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th match minute, AnHugo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lý Phong to maneuver through the defense. Phan Chung took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Đinh Anh Hung, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Đinh Anh Hung ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Phan Chung was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 38th minute, Mai Thi Ngoc left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mong Cai fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nguyễn Duong made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Mai Thi Ngoc ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Phan Chung was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 55th minute, Trần Huỳnh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trần Hoai's late challenge caught a Mong Cai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Trần Hoai helped the player get up and apologised. Phan Chung took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mai Thi Ngoc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, AnHugo's Trần Huỳnh seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Trần Huỳnh the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of AnHugo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Trần Huỳnh had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, AnHugo's Trần Huỳnh got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute, Trần Thuyet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Võ Tuan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Phan Chung firmly grabbed it by the left post. 70 minutes into the game, Võ Tuan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Phan Chung was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. AnHugo's Phan Chung played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Đinh Anh Hung in the 76th minute of play. When Mai Thi Ngoc came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Mong Cai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mai Thi Ngoc couldn't finish the play. Mai Thi Ngoc received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Phan Chung came out and tried to block the shot, but Mai Thi Ngoc slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Duong in the 92nd minute of play forced AnHugo's goalkeeper Phan Chung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mong Cai's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
