After a rather tough play, Cao Xanh FC's Nguyễn Minh got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, Xuân Lôc's Phan Thi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bùi Phuoc. Bùi Phuoc yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 23rd minute, Phan Thi made a precise shot to the right of Bùi Phuoc. Cao Xanh FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Bùi Phuoc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phan Van Tai Em in the 26th minute of the match. Chung Thi Ngoc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Bùi Phuoc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bùi Phuoc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phan Van Tai Em, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Cao Xanh FC's Bùi Phuoc got control of the ball when Phan Thi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 37th match minute, Xuân Lôc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tôn Tuan Hoang to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Bùi Phuoc managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Xuân Lôc's Phan Thi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bùi Phuoc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phan Van Tai Em, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Phạm Ritchell fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Xuân Lôc's protests and gave Phạm Ritchell a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 played minutes Xuân Lôc got a freekick which was hit by Phạm Ritchell. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Phan Thi was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Phan Thi in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bùi Phuoc prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Xuân Lôc's Chung Thi Ngoc got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Phan Van Tai Em fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bùi Phuoc having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Chung Thi Ngoc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xuân Lôc's supporters rose to their feet, but Chung Thi Ngoc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bùi Phuoc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 65th minute Phan Thi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bùi Phuoc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Xuân Lôc booed when Cao Xanh FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Chung didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Mai Dung notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Cao Xanh FC's Bùi Phuoc. Bùi Phuoc was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Phan Van Tai Em scored 7-0 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bùi Phuoc, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 96thth minute of the game Phan Thi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cao Xanh FC's Bùi Phuoc was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee ended the match the Xuân Lôc players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
