In the 13th minute, Hồ Phuc ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Trần Tuyet was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 18 minutes, Lê Phong managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Team Flash's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lê Phong was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Ha Noi F.C.V. getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Nguyễn Nhật Minh hit a great ball. Võ Than recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th match minute, Ha Noi F.C.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trần Khoi to maneuver through the defense. Lê Phong took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Huỳnh Tu. Huỳnh Tu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Trần Tuyet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Thanh in the 35th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Phạm Huỳnh took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Huỳnh Tu to make any attempt to save it. 45 minutes into the game, Ha Noi F.C.V.'s Nguyễn Thuy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Trần Tuyet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tôn Lam was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Tôn Lam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trần Tuyet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Huỳnh Tu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lê Phong in the 53rd minute of play. After 59 played minutes, Ha Noi F.C.V.'s Trần Khoi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Trần Tuyet came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ha Noi F.C.V. reached it. In the 61st minute Võ Than shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Huỳnh Tu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 62 minutes of play, Team Flash's Lê Phong made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Huỳnh Tu was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Trần Khoi during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Trần Khoi hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Phạm Huỳnh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trần Tuyet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Thanh in the 77th minute of play. Huỳnh Tu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Võ Than, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Trần Khoi kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Tôn Lam took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Trần Tuyet to make any attempt to save it. 88 minutes into the match, Team Flash's goalkeeper Trần Tuyet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hồ Phuc. Nguyễn Hong kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
