Xuân Lôc's Lê Nga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mai Thi Ngoc in the 46th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Phan Thi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Duong in the 52nd minute of play forced Xuân Lôc's goalkeeper Lê Nga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tôn Tu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Phan Van Tai Em's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Phan Thi in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tôn Tu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Phan Thi in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phan Van Tai Em in the 78th minute of play forced Mong Cai's goalkeeper Tôn Tu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lê Nga was a little too slow when Nguyễn Duong got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 2-4. The Xuân Lôc supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mong Cai's performance. The match ended with a win for Mong Cai.
