Võ Tan came out of the goal and Trần Thuyet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Võ Tan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Đỗ Duc in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Trần Thuyet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. TT FC's Trần Thuyet got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Võ Tan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Đỗ Duc, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Đỗ Duc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Võ Tan having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers La Hung in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bùi Than saved TT FC from getting behind. In the 42nd minute Đỗ Duc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Võ Tan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Trần Thuyet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Đặng Chi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 67 played minutes Binh Dinh got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Liem. 70 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Liem was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Binh Dinh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TT FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Binh Dinh's Nguyễn Liem got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 76th minute, Đỗ Duc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nguyễn Cadeo during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Đỗ Duc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
