Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Đặng Chi kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd match minute, Vinah Long was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Huỳnh Teo to maneuver through the defense. In the 3rd minute Nguyễn Cadeo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Bien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Vũ Bay fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Binh Dinh's protests and gave Vũ Bay a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Vinah Long booed when Binh Dinh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vũ Bay didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Binh Dinh's zone, Huỳnh Chung stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Võ Tan came out of the goal and Huỳnh Chung tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Vinah Long's Nguyễn Bien got control of the ball when La Hung tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vinah Long's Nguyễn Ho got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Nguyễn Chuong notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Binh Dinh's Võ Tan. Võ Tan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24th minute, Nguyễn Cadeo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Võ Tan came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Vinah Long's Huỳnh Chung. But to his dismay, Huỳnh Chung quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 31st minute, Lê Tuan Hoang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Võ Tan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Nguyễn Chuong managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vinah Long's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Chuong was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Võ Tan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Nguyễn Ho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Võ Tan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lê Tuan Hoang in the 38th minute of the match. A collision led to Vinah Long getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Lê Tuan Hoang hit a great ball. If Huỳnh Chung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Nguyễn Chuong made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Nguyễn Pham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the game, Lê Tuan Hoang cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Võ Tan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 61 minutes of play, Binh Dinh's Nguyễn Cadeo made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nguyễn Bien was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by La Hung in the 64th minute of play forced Vinah Long's goalkeeper Nguyễn Bien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nguyễn Ho hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute Đặng Chi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Bien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Huỳnh Chung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Võ Tan having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Lê Phu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nguyễn Chuong who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Võ Tan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nguyễn Cadeo charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nguyễn Cadeo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 78 played minutes Binh Dinh got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Cadeo. If Nguyễn Chuong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Binh Dinh defense, Lê Tuan Hoang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Võ Tan. The Binh Dinh fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Võ Tan should have stopped the shot. Lê Tuan Hoang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Võ Tan having to interfere. Nguyễn Liem hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling La Hung in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Bien prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Binh Dinh's Nguyễn Cadeo got a free kick in the 95th minute. The Binh Dinh fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Vinah Long were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
