Seating: 2142, VIP seats: 120) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomás Sá took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Tomás Sá notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Hai Phong's Lê Diem. Lê Diem was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lê Diem stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timoteo Dimas's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. If Tomás Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Hoàng Phuoc kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lê Diem. That made the score 2-0 in the 11 minute of play. Lê Diem stood somewhat misplaced when Tomás Sá came free in front of goal and shot 4-0 to the left of him in the 17 minute. When Lê Dinh came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Cao Bang Red Star fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lê Dinh couldn't finish the play. Liễu Phu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Lê Diem made a huge save. Nguyễn Viet hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Tomás Sá scored 5-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lê Diem, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Cao Bang Red Star booed when Hai Phong was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Loc didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomás Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Lê Diem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 minutes, Nguyễn Huynh Duc mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hai Phong and the Cao Bang Red Star players grew even worse after the yellow card. The attack was good, but when Tomás Sá in the 34th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Nguyễn Huynh Duc kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Đoàn Mai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phạm Phuong, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Nguyễn Duy came free with the goalkeeper in the 41st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lê Diem could save by the left post. Nguyễn Viet charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nguyễn Viet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Hai Phong getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Nguyễn Viet hit a great ball. After having played for 46 minutes, Timoteo Dimas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cao Bang Red Star's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timoteo Dimas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lê Diem made an important save on a dangerous shot by Timoteo Dimas in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.
When Cao Bang Red Star's Tomás Sá in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hai Phong's goalie prevented a goal. Lê Diem didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomás Sá went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Lê Diem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liễu Phu in the 58th minute of the match. Lê Diem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hoàng Phuoc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomás Sá recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute, Liễu Phu made a precise shot to the right of Lê Diem. Hai Phong's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Đỗ Tuyet's late challenge caught a Hai Phong's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Đỗ Tuyet helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cao Bang Red Star's Đỗ Tuyet got a free kick in the 78th minute. With 83 minutes on the clock, Hoàng Duc commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 83rd minute, one of Cao Bang Red Star:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cao Bang Red Star. Timoteo Dimas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Diem having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hoàng Phuoc in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lê Diem prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 95th minute Liễu Phu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lê Diem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 98 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Loc was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hai Phong's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cao Bang Red Star the free kick. After 98 played minutes Hai Phong got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Loc. Cao Bang Red Star walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
