Seating: 1001, VIP seats: 0) Trần Hong Minh started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Phạm Lan put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Nguyễn Thien. In the 8th minute Trần Hong Minh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lê Cuc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nguyễn Lam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh's late challenge caught a Lao Cai 24's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh helped the player get up and apologised. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Đỗ Chung in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nguyễn Thien saved Hai Duong from getting behind. After 20 played minutes Hai Duong got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Tuyet. Phạm Lan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Nguyễn Thien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22 played minutes Hai Duong got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Viet. The supporters of Lao Cai 24 booed when Hai Duong was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Minh Phượng didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hai Duong's zone, Dương Nam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Thien came out of the goal and Dương Nam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lao Cai 24's Đỗ Chung got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute Đỗ Chung shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Thien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Lao Cai 24's Lê Cuc got control of the ball when Nguyễn Tuyet tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 38 played minutes Lao Cai 24 got a freekick which was hit by Đinh Tong. Lao Cai 24's Phạm Lan got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nguyễn Lam blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nguyễn Thien having to make a save.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dương Nam made a kick off. Hai Duong's Nguyễn Thien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dương Nam in the 54th minute of play. Lê Cuc came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Hai Duong's Nguyễn Minh Phượng. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Minh Phượng quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Đỗ Chung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Hong Minh in the 65th minute of play forced Lao Cai 24's goalkeeper Lê Cuc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Lao Cai 24's Phạm Lan got a free kick in the 65th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Hai Duong:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lao Cai 24:s goal. Nguyễn Thien had in the 70thth minute some difficulties stopping Dương Nam's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Phạm Lan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nguyễn Thien read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Lao Cai 24's Nguyễn Thien threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dương Nam, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Nguyễn Lam put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Nguyễn Thien. Dương Nam was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 79th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Nguyễn Tuyet's late challenge caught a Lao Cai 24's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nguyễn Tuyet helped the player get up and apologised. Nguyễn Tuyet kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Nguyễn Thien made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Phạm Lan sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Hai Duong getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Triệu Viet hit a great ball. Lao Cai 24's Dương Nam couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 89th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hai Duong. Nguyễn Thien made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Nguyễn Lam sent off a good shot on target. Dương Nam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 95 in the game by Dương Nam from a close distance when the talented Nguyễn Thien managed to make a qualified save. Hai Duong's players were relieved. Nguyễn Thien stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Đỗ Chung's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. Lao Cai 24's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
