The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nguyễn Huỳnh made a kick off. In the 56th match minute, Thai Ngudyen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Thi Ngoc to maneuver through the defense. If Phạm Nam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nguyễn Huỳnh got free in front of the goal in the 61st minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Huỳnh Minh-ha was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 65th match minute, Thai Ngudyen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trần Huỳnh to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the game, Phạm Nam cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Phan Binh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Huỳnh Minh-ha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phan Cong Vinh in the 69th minute of the match. Huỳnh Minh-ha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Huỳnh in the 93rd minute of the match. Chants of Tay Ninh echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Thai Ngudyen had held the ball for most of the match.
