Seating: 1001, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lê Viet started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Tay Ninh's Võ Hung got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lê Viet in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Thien prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Tay Ninh's Đào Loc got control of the ball when Nguyễn Tuyet tried to sneak it across the goal line. Phạm Bien scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nguyễn Thien, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 22 minutes into the match, Lê Viet notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Hai Duong's Nguyễn Thien. Nguyễn Thien was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Phạm Bien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. Tay Ninh's supporters rose to their feet, but Phạm Bien was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Thien breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Phạm Bien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Nguyễn Thien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Nguyễn Minh Phượng fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hai Duong's protests and gave Nguyễn Minh Phượng a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Hai Duong getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Nguyễn Minh Phượng hit a great ball. Lê Viet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hai Duong's Nguyễn Tuyet got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Phạm Bien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Thien having to interfere. In the 97th minute of the match, Lê Viet tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nguyễn Thien saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 98 played minutes Lê Viet rounded Hai Duong's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-6. Tay Ninh played a much better game than Hai Duong and deserved their victory. The Hai Duong players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
