Adán Ecija's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Võ Tuan Hoang read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Adán Ecija received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Võ Tuan Hoang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Adán Ecija managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hanoi United Fg's supporters rose to their feet, but Adán Ecija was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Võ Tuan Hoang breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adán Ecija received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Võ Tuan Hoang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adán Ecija to strike the kick off in the second half. Võ Tuan Hoang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Gausdal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trần Minh Phượng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Phong in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Bac Giang11's Huỳnh Thi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Trần Minh Phượng. Trần Minh Phượng yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. In the 61st minute, Lars Gausdal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hanoi United Fg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Huỳnh Thi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Trần Minh Phượng firmly grabbed it by the left post. Adán Ecija struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Võ Tuan Hoang didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hanoi United Fg. 74 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Nam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bac Giang11's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hanoi United Fg the free kick. After 74 played minutes Bac Giang11 got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Nam. 77 minutes into the match, Hanoi United Fg's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Nam came free, but Trần Minh Phượng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the game, Hanoi United Fg's Lars Gausdal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Võ Tuan Hoang made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. In the 83rd minute, Hanoi United Fg's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nguyễn Nam fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 87 minutes into the match, Adán Ecija had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Võ Tuan Hoang. Bac Giang11's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adán Ecija was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-4. In the 93rd minute, Adán Ecija ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Võ Tuan Hoang was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-4.
