After a defensive mix-up in Viet Tri's zone, Huỳnh Tuan Hoang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Huỳnh Diem came out of the goal and Huỳnh Tuan Hoang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 30 minutes, Nguyễn Xuan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC Viet Tri 24 and the Viet Tri players grew even worse after the yellow card. Trần Tấn Dũng recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Văn Van Quyen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trần Tấn Dũng in the 32nd minute of play. Huỳnh Diem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Hoai in the 34th minute of the match. AC Viet Tri 24's Văn Van Quyen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trần Tấn Dũng in the 39th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Nghiêm Bien notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Viet Tri's Huỳnh Diem. Huỳnh Diem was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Viet Tri's Nguyễn Teo got his second yellow card of the match in the 67th minute. The referee ordered Nguyễn Teo off the ground. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Huỳnh Tuan Hoang managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Viet Tri 24's supporters rose to their feet, but Huỳnh Tuan Hoang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Huỳnh Diem breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Viet Tri fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AC Viet Tri 24 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
