Nguyễn Quang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Đào Chuong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Phạm Thanh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Thuy, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Lê Anh Hung recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Đào Chuong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Loc, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Đặng Minh Phượng hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. If Nguyễn Loc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Trần Thai charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Trần Thai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Loc in the 36th minute of play forced REAL MARIAD's goalkeeper Đào Chuong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nguyễn Loc blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Đào Chuong having to make a save. Lê Tuyet struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Đào Chuong didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC GOCCAY. If Nguyễn Quang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nguyễn Loc was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute, FC GOCCAY's Nguyễn Thi seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nguyễn Thi the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC GOCCAY protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nguyễn Thi had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 59th minute, one of FC GOCCAY:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC GOCCAY. After a rather tough play, FC GOCCAY's Nguyễn Quang got a free kick in the 65th minute. Phạm Thanh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nguyễn Thuy in the 71st minute. Nguyễn Thuy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phạm Thanh having to interfere. Lê Tuyet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to FC GOCCAY getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Nguyễn Quang hit a great ball. Phạm Thanh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nguyễn Thuy in the 92nd minute.
