Hanoi United Fg's Trần Minh Phượng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nghiêm Bien in the 11th minute of play. Trần Minh Phượng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Xuan in the 13th minute of play. Trần Minh Phượng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nghiêm Bien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, AC Viet Tri 24's Đào Duy got a free kick in the 15th minute. Adán Ecija might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Văn Van Quyen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adán Ecija ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 20 minutes, Adán Ecija managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hanoi United Fg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adán Ecija was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Trần Minh Phượng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Xuan in the 22nd minute of the match. Văn Van Quyen made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Darren Clayton sent off a good shot on target. Văn Van Quyen didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 24th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adán Ecija made a kick off. Trần Huỳnh was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 53 minutes into the match. A collision led to Hanoi United Fg getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Trần Huỳnh hit a great ball. In the 54th minute, Nghiêm Bien sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Hanoi United Fg's Trần Minh Phượng didn't even have to move. Lars Gausdal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Nguyễn Xuan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Trần Minh Phượng. That made the score 2-1 in the 60 minute of play. Adán Ecija might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Văn Van Quyen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adán Ecija ran back to his position shaking his head. Adán Ecija recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Adán Ecija fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Văn Van Quyen having to interfere. Nguyễn Nam hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute, Adán Ecija got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Nghiêm Bien dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Trần Minh Phượng, 2-2. Trần Minh Phượng was a little too slow when Nghiêm Bien got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 2-3. The AC Viet Tri 24 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
