Phạm Minh took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Văn Van Quyen. Văn Van Quyen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Huỳnh Tuan Hoang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Đào Chuong made a huge save. If Lê Anh Hung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 27 minutes, Nghiêm Bien managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Viet Tri 24's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nghiêm Bien was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Huỳnh Tuan Hoang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Đào Chuong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nghiêm Bien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Đào Chuong having to interfere. Nguyễn Khoi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Đào Chuong came out and tried to block the shot, but Nguyễn Khoi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 35th minute. AC Viet Tri 24 were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after REAL MARIAD's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nghiêm Bien took the corner. The supporters of AC Viet Tri 24 booed when REAL MARIAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phạm Minh didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the AC Viet Tri 24 defense, Nguyễn Thuy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Văn Van Quyen. The AC Viet Tri 24 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Văn Van Quyen should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lê Anh Hung was the one to do the kick off. REAL MARIAD's Lê Anh Hung got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Văn Van Quyen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Phạm Minh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Phạm Minh scored 1-4 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Văn Van Quyen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Phạm Minh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 63 minutes, Vũ Minh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC Viet Tri 24 and the REAL MARIAD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Văn Van Quyen made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Nguyễn Thuy sent off a good shot on target. Đào Chuong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huỳnh Tuan Hoang in the 71st minute of play. After a rather tough play, REAL MARIAD's Trần Anh Hung got a free kick in the 72nd minute. When Nguyễn Khoi came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the AC Viet Tri 24 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Khoi couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute Lê Anh Hung shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Văn Van Quyen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Lê Anh Hung managed to get in a good position for a shot. REAL MARIAD's supporters rose to their feet, but Lê Anh Hung was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Văn Van Quyen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
