The supporters of Feerder booed when Hanoi United Fg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Gausdal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Darren Clayton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trần Minh Phượng was a little too slow when Trần Dinh got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 2-0. Adán Ecija scored 2-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nguyễn Thi Ngoc, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 30th minute, Feerder's Trần Dinh ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Trần Minh Phượng. Trần Minh Phượng yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Feerder's attentive Nguyễn Thanh managed to snatch the ball when Ngô Cong Vinh made a throw-in in the 35th minute of the game. In the 37th minute Trần Dinh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trần Minh Phượng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Trần Dinh recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Trần Minh Phượng. Trần Dinh showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. If Adán Ecija had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

In the 91stth minute of the game Nguyễn Thai who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hanoi United Fg's Trần Minh Phượng was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
