Manchester United's Roman Euloxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Thanh in the 31st minute of play. In the 31st minute, Nguyễn Thanh ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roman Euloxu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Lê Binh made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Claudio Natal sent off a good shot on target. After 35 played minutes Huế got a freekick which was hit by Triệu Anh Hung. Lê Binh made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Florian Dziatkowicz sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Huế's Lê Binh got control of the ball when Florian Dziatkowicz tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 42nd minute Florian Dziatkowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lê Binh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 played minutes Huế got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Thanh. Nguyễn Thanh hit a great freekick 49 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Placido Paul was the one to do the kick off. Huế's Nguyễn Thanh pulled a muscle in his back after 54 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Cole Markwell fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manchester United's protests and gave Cole Markwell a yellow card for diving instead. Cole Markwell hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, Placido Paul made a precise shot to the right of Roman Euloxu. Manchester United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Lê Binh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florian Dziatkowicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Lê Binh dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Placido Paul managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huế's supporters rose to their feet, but Placido Paul was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roman Euloxu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87th minute Nguyễn Phu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Euloxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Placido Paul made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 87thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Roman Euloxu would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Lê Binh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florian Dziatkowicz in the 90th minute of the match. The supporters of Manchester United booed when Huế was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Phu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cole Markwell made in the 97th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Paolo Bisang however managed to control. There was no doubt that Manchester United were the better team. Manchester United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
