Phan Duong stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudio Natal's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Claudio Natal put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Phan Duong. If Đoàn Tinh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Đoàn Tinh blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roman Euloxu having to make a save. Roman Euloxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Đoàn Tinh, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Fahro Krhan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Phan Duong read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudio Natal made a kick off. Phan Duong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Natal in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th match minute, Lao Bao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Huy to maneuver through the defense. Roman Euloxu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Đoàn Tinh in the 56th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Fahro Krhan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Phan Duong was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The supporters of Manchester United booed when Lao Bao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dương Hong didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fahro Krhan in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Phan Duong saved Lao Bao from getting behind. Lao Bao's Phan Duong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fahro Krhan in the 70th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fahro Krhan during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lao Bao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Đoàn Tinh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Lao Bao's goal looked a bit too open when Fahro Krhan came free, but Phan Duong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lao Bao's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
