Spectators: 7729 (Terracing: 5798, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 154) Portreath's Shukrie Wah started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Danial Soon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shukrie Wah, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Shukrie Wah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danial Soon having to interfere. In the 13th minute Shukrie Wah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danial Soon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danial Soon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gage Pillai in the 14th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Sarb Soon managed to get in a good position for a shot. KuKu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sarb Soon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rudy Seng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gage Cheng charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gage Cheng the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Portreath's Gage Cheng got a free kick in the 24th minute. After a rather tough play, KuKu FC's Daniz Chew got a free kick in the 26th minute. KuKu FC's Danial Soon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shukrie Wah in the 27th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, KuKu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Shukrie Wah came free, but Danial Soon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gage Pillai took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Danial Soon. Danial Soon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Danial Soon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Au in the 33rd minute of play. KuKu FC were furious when Amir Lim was red carded, 34 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 41 minutes into the match, KuKu FC's Sarb Soon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rudy Seng narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 43 minutes into the match, Sarb Soon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rudy Seng, 1-2. In the 47th minute, Daniz Chew left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KuKu FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sarb Soon to make the kick off. Sarb Soon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Rudy Seng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. KuKu FC's Sarb Soon got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Danial Soon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Au, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 68 minutes into the game, Albert Au recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Danial Soon. Albert Au showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. Sarb Soon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Rudy Seng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sarb Soon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Alam Tan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Danial Soon. That made the score 2-5 in the 80 minute of play. Danial Soon was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Shukrie Wah capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Shukrie Wah really showed his touch with that goal: 2-6. Shah Lam kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Sarb Soon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rudy Seng read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Sarb Soon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 94 minutes into the game, Portreath's Gage Pillai nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Danial Soon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-7. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Alam Tan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portreath's supporters rose to their feet, but Alam Tan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danial Soon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Portreath had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
