When Zack Tioe fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stockton-on-Tees's protests and gave Zack Tioe a yellow card for diving instead. 11 minutes into the game, Firdauz Ching cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Daniz Butcher was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 14th minute, Victor Siong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniz Butcher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zack Liang in the 15th minute of play. With a little luck, Sheerwood's Asiz Amin got control of the ball when Zack Tioe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Firdauz Ching's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniz Butcher read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Daniz Butcher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Ning's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Felix Ning fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniz Butcher having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dale Tee was the one to do the kick off. Sharizan Shiong hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Daniz Butcher didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 65th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. Daniz Butcher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faiz Yang in the 74th minute of the match. Firdauz Ching sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Felix Ning had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Faiz Yang was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. In the 94th minute, Daniel Ching got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dale Tee in the 96th minute of play forced Sheerwood's goalkeeper Asiz Amin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Firdauz Ching struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Daniz Butcher didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sheerwood. Sheerwood's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
