The Penistone FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ron Namasivayam should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Chandran in the 11th minute of play forced Penistone FC's goalkeeper Ron Namasivayam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Khai Peng scored 0-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ron Namasivayam, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Felix Chandran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clive Nagasaki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerard Devan in the 23rd minute of the match. Ron Namasivayam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fariz Chee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 minutes, Khai Peng mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paris Saint-Germain and the Penistone FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd match minute, Paris Saint-Germain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Khai Peng to maneuver through the defense. Ron Namasivayam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Chandran, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After a rather tough play, Penistone FC's Sarb Yeo got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Fariz Chee took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ron Namasivayam. Ron Namasivayam dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fariz Chee to strike the kick off in the second half. If Gerard Devan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ron Namasivayam didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fariz Chee went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. After 60 played minutes Paris Saint-Germain got a freekick which was hit by SK Seng. After a defensive mix-up in Paris Saint-Germain's zone, Ron Boon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clive Nagasaki came out of the goal and Ron Boon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gerard Devan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clive Nagasaki having to interfere. The supporters of Penistone FC booed when Paris Saint-Germain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Leng didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute Fariz Chee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ron Namasivayam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fariz Chee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ron Namasivayam having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Steven Abisheganaden left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paris Saint-Germain fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. In the 95th minute Khai Peng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ron Namasivayam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
