When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Alif Sum sped through BATMAN FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tan Peng. Merlin Chuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the game, Gage Vijiaratnam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BATMAN FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wivenhoe the free kick. After a rather tough play, BATMAN FC's Gage Vijiaratnam got a free kick in the 17th minute. Alif Sum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Tan Peng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. BATMAN FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wivenhoe the free kick. After a rather tough play, BATMAN FC's Mohammad Pieng got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After some careless play in the BATMAN FC defense, Alif Sum kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tan Peng. The BATMAN FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tan Peng should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Alif Sum's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tan Peng was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Tan Peng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alif Sum, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Daniz Chong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The BATMAN FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Wivenhoe were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alif Sum was the one to do the kick off. Alif Sum's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Tan Peng skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alif Sum succeeded in the game's 53rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. Tan Peng didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Merlin Chuan went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. 71 minutes into the match, BATMAN FC's goalkeeper Tan Peng had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alif Sum. 73 minutes into the match, Wivenhoe's goal looked a bit too open when Mohammad Pieng came free, but Dale Ramachandran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wivenhoe's Alif Sum got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wong Leng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Tan Peng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tan Peng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alif Sum in the 78th minute of play. After 79 played minutes Alif Sum could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 0-6 into the left cross. Zack Nagasaki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tan Peng having to interfere. Tan Peng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alif Sum in the 90th minute of play. When Wivenhoe's Alif Sum in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BATMAN FC's goalie prevented a goal. Alif Sum struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Tan Peng didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wivenhoe. If Merlin Chuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wivenhoe played a much better game than BATMAN FC and deserved their victory. The BATMAN FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
