With an all-out effort, Altrincham City's Adam Tee threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gabriel Gopala Pillai, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Alif Siang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lee Hongyi in the 34th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Queenstown FC's zone, Gabriel Gopala Pillai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adam Tee came out of the goal and Gabriel Gopala Pillai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lee Hongyi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alif Siang having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lee Hongyi in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alif Siang saved Altrincham City from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when John Yi-Sheng stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
