Jithu Amin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ang Yi-Sheng having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Farhan Abdul during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 29th minute, Farhan Abdul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30thth minute of the game Wei Xuan Wenyong who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Holton-le-Clay United's Bakar Tuan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Foulsham City's zone, Jithu Amin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ang Yi-Sheng came out of the goal and Jithu Amin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute Wei Xuan Wenyong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bakar Tuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. John Rajah's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bakar Tuan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Holton-le-Clay United's goalkeeper Bakar Tuan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 42 minutes, Wei Xuan Wenyong managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Foulsham City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wei Xuan Wenyong was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wei Xuan Wenyong struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Bakar Tuan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Foulsham City. 45 minutes into the match, John Rajah had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bakar Tuan. Holton-le-Clay United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that John Rajah was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Famih Chandran to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, John Rajah fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Bakar Tuan, passed just outside the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as John Rajah kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bakar Tuan. That made the score 0-3 in the 55 minute of play. After 63 minutes, Famih Chandran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Holton-le-Clay United and the Foulsham City players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 63 played minutes Holton-le-Clay United got a freekick which was hit by Famih Chandran. In the 65th minute John Rajah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bakar Tuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sajeev Butcher charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sajeev Butcher the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th minute, one of Holton-le-Clay United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Holton-le-Clay United. After having played for 69 minutes Shafiq Soon managed to get himself in a good position for a goal as Foulsham City's supporters held their thumbs. Shafiq Soon was, after a quick turn, in perfect balance and slotted the ball in at the right post. The score was now 0-5. In the 74th minute, Wei Xuan Wenyong left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Foulsham City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. After having played for 78 minutes, Famih Chandran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Holton-le-Clay United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Famih Chandran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Foulsham City's Ong Lee got a free kick in the 95th minute. Bakar Tuan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wei Xuan Wenyong in the 98th minute. Foulsham City's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
