Lee Namasivayam's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bakar Hock read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Faiz Swee came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bakar Hock could save by the left post. Darryl Tuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bakar Hock having to interfere. After having played for 37 minutes, Lee Namasivayam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Great Staughton United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lee Namasivayam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Darryl Tuan fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Great Staughton United's protests and gave Darryl Tuan a yellow card for diving instead. Liverpool FCT's Bakar Hock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lee Namasivayam in the 45th minute of play. With 49 minutes on the clock, Haziq Ning commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 48th minute, one of Great Staughton United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Great Staughton United. In the 51st minute there was a penalty for Liverpool FCT. Ron Abisheganaden stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Prime Chien-Kwan. 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Chong made a kick off. If Alexander Yip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bakar Hock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lee Namasivayam, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Darryl Tuan struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Bakar Hock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Great Staughton United. Danial Hoe hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Joel Sarangapani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Prime Chien-Kwan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Chong's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Chong in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Prime Chien-Kwan saved Great Staughton United from getting behind. Great Staughton United's Lee Namasivayam got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bakar Hock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lee Namasivayam in the 89th minute of the match. Lee Namasivayam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Prime Chien-Kwan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Chong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Despite being the better team, Great Staughton United failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
